Research Proposal assignment
I will provide my previous assignments that include the topic subtopic research question population outcome exposure chosen study design and notes for the lessons. I would like the following questions answered thoroughly based on the notes and the book (I can attach all the chapters weve studied if you think the notes and comments from instructor dont suffice.) Please keep in mind this is for a research method processes class so no actual research is being done only a research proposal in 3 parts and they are a big part of the grade. This is part one and the two other parts are later in the semester. I can extend some time if needed. Question one: Based on the information that you learned in Lessons 4 and 5 which type of study design (choose from one of the following: case-control cohort or experimental) is the most appropriate to help you answer your research question? Why? Explain your answer. Make sure to provide enough evidence to demonstrate that this would be the best study design to answer your question. Question two: What are the strengths and limitations of using the study design (the one you chose in question 3) to help answer your research question? Question three and VERY IMPORTANT: identify one peer-reviewed journal article that is of a primary or secondary research only (no reviews letters to the editor commentaries etc.) that will help provide evidence of the need for your particular research study. Using the article: Requirements: first two questions unspecified but must be answered thoughtfully and thoroughly question 3 150 words. Write a 150-word paragraph to justify the why is important to answer your proposed research question. The idea is for you to use the article as supporting evidence in the 150-word paragraph. Make sure to include: In-text citations and a reference list in APA style Include a word count at the end or below your paragraph DO NOT include direct quotes from the article. The idea is for you to provide an argument in your own words using the article as reference as to why your particular study is important (think about this as an “Introduction” section of a peer-reviewed article). ‘
